Xiaomi is gearing up to reveal three new flagships in late September, each running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. Certification listings from China have already confirmed the trio, with all of them supporting faster 100W wired charging, an upgrade from the 90W standard on last year’s Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.
Among the three, the Xiaomi 16 Pro is planned for release a little later in the fall. This model will come with a slightly smaller screen but will carry more premium specifications compared to the standard and vanilla versions.
Xiaomi usually rolls out two models 16 and 16 Pro each fall in China, followed by a global launch the next February, when the 16 Ultra also makes its debut. The same cycle is expected this time too, but it’s still unclear how many of the 16-series phones will be available outside China.
Looking at Xiaomi’s pricing strategy and market history, the new models with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processors is unlikely to come cheap. These models is expected pricing could start around NPR 120,000 for the base model and higher for the Pro version depending on the storage and RAM variants.
