Apple iPhone 17 Pro is 256GB But More Expensive
Apple is finally set to launch its highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup on September 9 with the availability expected from start on September 19. Among the biggest changes this year is that the iPhone 17 Pro base model will come with 256GB storage.
Recent leak from China, that the price of the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro will be $50 higher than the 256GB iPhone 16 Pro. While price hikes by companies are never welcome, this increase comes with a significant improvement: you will receive double the base storage (256GB) at no additional increase if you needed to purchase the 256GB version.
Apple Moves Away from 128GB Base Storage
After years of sticking with 128GB as the entry-level storage for Pro models, Apple is finally making 256GB the new baseline in 2025. This change will apply to both iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, aligning them better with user demands for more internal storage, especially given the increased usage of high resolution video recording and large apps.
Although earlier reports hinted at a price hike across the entire iPhone 17 lineup, this upgrade will be limited only to the Pro models.
Apple’s official keynote event for the iPhone 17 family is expected to take place on September 9, with sales starting from September 19. The event will likely cover all four models iPhone 17, 17 Plus, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.
Expected Price for iPhone 17 Pro in Nepal
