The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which MediaTek seems to be positioning as a flagship-level mid-tier processor. It’s the same chip that could also appear in the Oppo Reno15 Pro, Honor Power 2, and Realme Neo 8. If these leaks are true, Redmi’s next Turbo phone might deliver performance while keeping the price in check, and price in Nepal will likely fall between NPR 48,000 to NPR 55,000, depending on the variant.
There are claims that it will have a flat 6.6" display with a 1.5K resolution. That's between Full HD+ and QHD. The design reportedly keeps things thin and light, with a metal frame, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and a simple camera island layout that feels clean and refined.
Dust and water resistance are also expected to be solid this time, though we’ll have to wait for official IP ratings to confirm. The phone could also make its global appearance under a different name, possibly as the Poco X8 Pro just like earlier Redmi models that went international with Poco branding.
Here’s where it gets interesting. The Redmi Turbo 5 is said to carry a massive battery, anywhere between 7,500mAh and 9,000mAh. Even the lower figure would be one of the largest we’ve seen on a Redmi phone. Smartphone is rumored to support 100W wired charging, which should charge the device in less than thirty minutes.
