Honor has officially launched the Pad GT2 Pro, the successor to last year’s gaming focused Pad GT Pro. The new model brings several upgrades, starting with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The performance boost is huge, especially in benchmarks, making the GT2 Pro a top Android gaming tablet.
The Honor Pad GT2 Pro comes in three variants: 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. Improved graphene cooling for better thermal management during long gaming sessions.
One of the tablet’s highlight is the 165Hz refresh rate display, up from 144Hz last year. Honor claims the tablet can reach 165fps in CrossFire: Gunfight King, fully utilizing the high refresh rate. The screen resolution is referred to as 3K, likely around 3,000 x 1,920 pixels, same as the previous generation.
The Pad GT2 Pro comes with 8 IMAX Enhanced speakers for a better sound experience. It also has a haptic feedback engine for gaming.
Battery capacity is slightly upgraded to 10,100mAh, but charging speed is not yet disclosed. For reference, the original Pad GT Pro had 66W fast charging. The new model is slim and light, 5.8mm thick and 580g, slightly heavier than the previous one.
The Honor Pad GT2 Pro will be available in Ice Crystal White and Phantom Grey colors. It will go on sale in China from July 28, with pre-orders open now on Honor’s official website. Early bird offers are available for a limited time.
